CIPD Board appoints Jonathan Ferrar as CIPD Asia 'Champion' to support regional growth
The CIPD Board has chosen Jonathan Ferrar as its Asia 'Champion' to directly engage in and support its growth strategy in the region
A CIPD Board member since November 2017 and an expert in people analytics, Jonathan will represent CIPD Asia on the Board and take an active role in supporting the local team to champion better work and working lives in the region.
Jonathan is a respected consultant, speaker, author and business advisor in HR strategy, workforce analytics, and the Future of Work globally. He advises clients on how to establish human resources strategies that will improve business performance and help HR leaders become more analytical in their decision-making.
He was listed as one of the global Top HR Analytics Influencers on LinkedIn in 2014, one of the People Analytics Experts to Follow in 2016 by Jibe, and one of the Top 20 Experts in People Analytics in 2017 by Sage People. Before he started his own consultancy business, Jonathan worked for more than 25 years in corporate business (most recently IBM) in both the United Kingdom and the United States and has worked and travelled for business all over the globe.
He holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and a postgraduate diploma from Kingston Business School. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Chartered FCIPD) and the Co-Author of the book, The Power of People: Learn How Successful Organizations Use Workforce Analytics to Improve Business Performance (Pearson FT Press, May 2017).
Of his appointment Jonathan said: "I am delighted to become the CIPD Board’s Champion for Asia. Developing human resource professionals and good practice in the region is an integral part of the CIPD’s international growth strategy, and I very much look forward to representing and supporting the great work of the team in Singapore as they champion better work and working lives for businesses and HR professionals in the region."
