The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is the first learning provider in Qatar to meet the CIPD’s rigorous standards for Accredited Programme Provider status. It means that graduates of the University’s Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management (BBA HRM) programme will be eligible for CIPD membership.  The BBA HRM programme is the first ever in Qatar to be CIPD accredited, opening up a new route into a career in the people profession.

“UDST is a pioneering institution in Qatar, focused on delivering world-class applied education. Our collaboration ensures that UDST students are prepared to navigate the complexity of the human resources field with an internationally recognised qualification.”

Mark Baker, Channel Partner Manager, CIPD

To celebrate the newly formed partnership, UDST hosted an official visit and ceremony where the CIPD presented a certificate and plaque to Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, President of UDST.

“We are honoured to launch this partnership as we continuously strive to improve the standard of education we offer. Today’s workplace is constantly changing, and the University is continually evolving to enable students to meet real-world challenges with aptitude.”

The primary beneficiaries of the partnership are students enrolled in the University’s BBA HRM Program. But all undergraduate students within the College of Business will benefit from this association through seminars, workshops, and collaborative research opportunities.

“Graduates of the BBA HRM Program will automatically qualify for Associate CIPD membership. We want to empower our students through this opportunity and give our graduates a competitive edge in today’s job market.”
